Following the tragic loss of our founder's brother, Eric, to fentanyl poisoning, The Raven is Here was established with the mission to prevent similar tragedies from happening to others. Our goal is to raise awareness, fundraise for critical initiatives, engage in community outreach, and recruit volunteers to support our cause.

Our Background

Chris Hennessy, along with Kara and Josh Henson (Chris’s sister and brother-in-law), and April Yates, have come together with a shared mission rooted in faith and compassion.

Their guiding verse is Luke 12:24 (NLT):
"Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!"

This mission was born out of personal tragedy. After losing their brother Eric to fentanyl poisoning—when he unknowingly purchased Adderall laced with fentanyl—they were compelled to take action.

Driven by a deep desire to make a difference, they are committed to combating drug abuse and human trafficking within their community and beyond, offering hope and support to those in need.

Some stuff about Eric

Eric was the kind of person who never met a stranger—everyone was his friend. He’d strike up a conversation with anyone, even a fencepost, and wouldn’t care if it responded. He had a soft heart and loved his kids deeply—two sons and a daughter, all under the age of 11.

Family was everything to him. He had a knack for being goofy and loved to joke around, often cracking the most inappropriate jokes no matter who was around.

Though he wasn’t a heavy drug user, Eric was a “pop-up user” who always sought out a good time. He was responsible, always holding down a job and providing for his family.

The “deuces” symbol on all of our merchandise is a tribute to him—because he was always throwing up deuces as his signature farewell.
